The Cosmos ecosystem is a decentralized network of interconnected, scalable, and self-sufficient blockchains. Its aim is to create an Internet of Blockchains that promotes an interoperable environment for application development. By enabling secure communication and interoperability between various blockchains, Cosmos establishes this "Internet of Blockchains." Currently, Cosmos has 180 active validators and supports more than 249 interchain applications and services.
